Squirrelin' Around

Miss Emma is growing up faster than I can imagine. She is strengthening her neck more and more each day; so I decided to get the Bumbo chair out for a try. She did pretty well! We'll keep working on it.

Yesterday, I dressed Emma in a special outfit. She was able to wear the outfit my mom dressed me in when I came home from the hospital. Crazy to think I was only a little smaller when I was born than she is now! Yikes!

Now to the reason for the title....

Emma and I watched this out the window today.
He started out with a whole piece of bread.

Nibbling away...

Almost done....

Before we could get a picture of him all finished, he got away on us. But, we enjoyed watching.

She's found her hands and is learning how to hit things!!!!!! Enjoy what I get to see everyday!

Grrrrreat.....

Grandmas!!! That's who Emma got to meet this week, along with many others.  Emma and I traveled to Minnesota for a few days. Here are some of the moments I captured.

Great Grandma Seifert and Emma. Bummed this is the only picture I got;
she wasn't crying the whole time, promise.

4 Generations! Gigi, Great Grandma Reineke, Emma, and I.

Emma's personal guard. Snickers protected her the whole week!

Wearing some new bows from Grandma & Grandpa Udey.

Here comes the proof......

that I think I have the cutest daughter in the whole world!

Spring is coming... or here?

As I walked out the door this morning, this was the first thing I saw! It reminded me, even though the temperature is still chilly, that spring is almost here!

Emma and I have been enjoying time on our back. She loves looking at her black and white pictures. As you can see, I need to hold it above our heads to see the pictures.

Well, I realized I needed to get some things done around the house instead of laying there on the floor, as fun as it was. So I needed to come up with a way for this to stay above her head without my assistance. My first idea was to hang it somehow from the fan, but I think this is a much better idea!

We celebrated one of our friends birthdays this week. Cara and I made this cake for the celebration. Hopefully there will be more fun cakes to come! p.s. it's a gumball machine if you can't tell....

Last but not least, pictures of our little girl. She is so precious!

Weight a minute........

Yes, I know I used the wrong wait/weight, but Miss Emma was finally weighed at the doctor's office this week. Emma had her two month appointment this past week and weighed 9lbs 14ozs! She seems big to me but is only in the 25th percentile for her weight. Here's a picture of her as we headed out the door to go to the doctor.

Check out her long legs!
She did great and even endured her first set of shots.

We had some visitors this past weekend also!
Aunt Laurie and Uncle Chaim came up to visit from Omaha and brought a plethora of gifts!

As you can see in the picture, she is learning how to grasp things with her little hands. She's becoming more interactive too. I enjoy hearing her coo and giggle during the day. It's one of those things that each time she does it, it seems like the first time.  I'm enjoying every minute of it.
Sorry there wasn't more detail to this posting. Duty calls....
Hope to post more soon!

Our Little well BIG cutie!!!

I was attempting to put videos up but I only have a limited amount of time that she sits for me while we are out. So I put two up on Facebook. She is so adorable in them! But, here are a few pictures from the past few weeks. It's crazy to think that she will be 7 weeks old on Tuesday. She is growing up so fast!

We enjoyed a lovely 65 degree day in February and went for a walk. She LOVES walking!

This was her after the walk. Completely out!

What a glamor girl!

She spits her tongue out more and more.

Go.......

Packers!!!!!
That's right, I'm cheering for the Packers. I recently decided to cave in and leave my Minnesota Vikings days behind. It's more enjoyable to cheer along side my husband than to be against him :)
So in light of the Packers playing in the Super Bowl this year we had our own little Udey Super Bowl party! Here's a few of the pics from the day.
All decked out in her Packers shirt

Emma decided to show us she was a big girl and held up her own bottle during the game

The fam :)

She sure is growing. Here's a picture of our little angel.
A wonderful Valentine's gift!

She's Growing!!!!

Little Miss Emma has some more visitors these past two weekends. My parents and auntie Abby were able to come down last weekend and auntie Nina came down this past weekend. It was exciting for everyone to be able to meet Emma and also nice to have a little help around the house. Yet at the same time I'm looking forward to some time to get into a groove.
Emma is doing well. I took her to her 2 week check up this week. A bar they set for newborns is that they are back to their birth weight at their 2 week appointment. So we were shooting for 6 lbs 15 oz but thinking she was a little more. Emma clocked in at 7 lbs 6 oz. We have an ever growing little girl! It's amazing the things she picks up on even at not even 3 weeks old. She is enjoying tummy time and some wake time after her naps which is when mommy gets to see some enjoyable faces come from her little girl. I will try to get some pictures up soon.
Just wanted to give you all an update on our little girl.
Enjoy the Super Bowl!
