Vacation 2013

Here we go. Since this was our first vacation, I took A LOT of pictures. I "narrowed" it down to about 65. I know, yikes! Maybe as vacations go on I'll learn to slim it down.... on the other hand, maybe not :)
Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy reliving our vacation through these pictures.

Our first stop on the way to MN. French fries!
She loves her grandpa.
We left Saturday morning from Jay's parents house and arrived at our destination in the early afternoon. We prayed that the girls would be good travelers as they have never had to be in the van for more than 30 minutes. They were wonderful!

This is Bobby. He is Emma's new companion.
Jay got him from his uncle when he was really young.
Emma slept with Bobby every night!
Grandpa loving his granddaughters.

We enjoyed LOTS of pool time. It was a little rainy and chilly during the beginning of the week, so we hit the pools. A plus of swimming is it tuckered the girls out and they took GREAT naps!

You may think, wow, Emma won't like this... She LOVED the slide!!!! Between Jay, Grandpa, and myself we were busy taking her down the slide.

Emma and Grandma being silly.
Favorite pass time of Emma's.
Cutie.
Walking to the pool with her new umbrella.
Climbing EVERYWHERE.

Finally the sun broke though and we went straight outside!

Right before she took off on me :)

Daddy running stairs....
Emma running stairs.... :)
It was finally time to go fishing with Grandpa and Grandma.

Grandpa enjoying the lake.

More outside time!

Emma thoroughly enjoyed this lolly pop and the boat ride!

Kisses for Grandma.

Cruising.
If you look closely, all the black specks are loons! So pretty!

Although it was fun to sit, read, and have late night snacks at the cabin.....

... it was even better to get away with Jay all alone! We spend hours away and just enjoyed the company of each other.

We were going to climb an old fire tower.....

....but it was a bit too much for me.
The last day we went to the pool, the kids pool re-opened. Emma was in love.

I think her favorite part was that she could get in and out on her own.
Miss Independent.

This brought about tears of laughter. Our fridge was strangely small. :)
Playing cards.
Enjoying seeing this guy 10 days straight!!!
Emma even helped push Lily.
Our family.
Here we are!
Proud grandparents.
When we got back to Jay's parents, I thought the girls were asleep. But, much to my surprise they were playing paddy-cake instead. So precious.

Headed home with a few extra things from Jay's parents house as they are moving.
I don't know if we could have fit much more in the van.
There were many other things that we did that aren't on here. The girls enjoyed the playground with Grandma & Grandpa. We ate out at some nice restaurants. We found a fun, local coffee shop. We went to DQ. And, the list goes on....... :)
Thank you so much John and Darlynn for a wonderful vacation.
(and Aunt Laurie & Uncle Chaim)
