Fall Leaves

Emma was smiling like crazy today, so I took full advantage of it!

I had some help... One day while putting clothes away in Jay and my closet, Emma found this old stuffed animal... a cat. To say she is in love with it is an understatement.

The cat is to thanks for quite a few of these pictures!!

I told her to say hello to Mr. Kitty.

Look at those eyes!

Showing off her teeth!

Top 2!!!! (I think this one wins with the amazing colors!)

Beautiful.

Wow!

Gorgeous.

Outfit change. I just wanted to use this vest!!!

Top 2!!!

We tried with the pumpkins....

We've been pretty busy that I forgot to put up Emma's 9 month stats.
Weight: 19 lbs 3 oz  still in the 55%
Height: 29" still in the 90%

Last, Jay's mom bought this book about caterpillars quite a while ago. On the last page, the caterpillars pop up butterflies. Emma goes for this book EVERY time we are in her room. I even tried to hide it under her dresser one time so we didn't have to read it (is that bad?!?!) and she found it!!!! She isn't patient/old enough to let me read the words on the page yet,
so this is my version of the book.
Her feet and hands wiggle until the butterflies come!

Where it began....

Monday night, Jay and I took Emma back to where we met :) Drake.
We got some China Place and walked around campus and even got a picture. My arm wasn't long enough to include the Drake University sign behind us. But, you get the point. Maybe someday when she understands a little more we'll take her back again and tell her our story.

Walking on campus with Daddy.

Emma even got some China Place rice.

And... we finally found a shirt that says Grandma on it! They are hard to find. So we had a little photo shoot. What a beautiful model I get to work with!!!

Cafe Udey

We have had a busy week this week. Emma and I traveled to Minnesota for a few days! Here are the pictures.

Story time.

My dad was doing a lot of work upstairs but took some time to feed Emma.

We would love for her to be a piano player.
She's getting her first taste of the piano here!

Or maybe the drums???

She LOVED looking at Abby!

Nina came in a few times with Wyatt to hang out.
We even went out there one time!

Emma's reaction to the dogs. She loved watching their constant movements.

Cutie!

Wyatt is learning to share things with Emma, including GiGi and Grandpa's place. Toward the end, he warmed up to Emma.

Hugs!

Kisses!

I know the video is sideways, but this is toooooo precious.

Now to the title!!!!!
If you want to see what our kitchen looked like when I moved in,
here's the link. Old Kitchen
After the decorating this weekend by Jay's parents, here is what it looks like!!!

There's even a place for us to put our keys and mail now!

Our own little cafe!

I took these pictures after Emma had gone to sleep tonight. I realized I didn't take my camera out all weekend while his parents were here. They can make Emma smile like no one else can. It's precious. They watched Emma Friday night so Jay and I could spend some time together, just the two of us. It was wonderful. Here's one of the things we happen to see while out.

It's the only one of it's kind. It's the mini version!!!

And some random cute pictures I couldn't help but put up.

Cuddle time with mommy.
Cuddle time with daddy. Look at that smirk!

She drinks out of her sippie cup now!

Quick family pic before Emma hit the hay tonight.

Green or Orange?

Our little lady has been busy.... being super cute! Here's a billion, well not that many, photos and videos!

This is what I get to see when I go get Emma from her nap.

Emma gets really excited when playing with her toys before bedtime.
Can you tell?

Play time!

She must be really excited to see herself!

I needed to keep her occupied one day on the changing table and handed her the pacifier she was given at the hospital. She is in love with chewing on it now!

Here's a video of it:

Someone is into drooling again.

Playing hide and seek!

To the title.....
Back story: During the week, we (Emma & I) spend a lot of time with the moms and their kids of course. Which means, Emma spends tons of time with my great friend Kayla's boys, Emerson & Oakley. From birth the boys have been dressed in green (emerald) and orange so people can tell who is who. Kayla and I have notice Emerson being a little 'friendly'/shy around Emma. We're convinced he has a crush on her and they'll be together forever. I may be reading into this...... but Emma clearly has picked the green leg of the table over the orange one.....

Of course, I'm just joking around. I just thought this was so funny. We do occasionally say that they'll end up together but all just for fun.

Another monitor video!!! I think somehow in the dark, Emma found her mobile.

What a doll!

She enjoys her books!

And she's starting to shuffle down the couch to get something she wants!!!!

Well.... hope that updates you with our week! There will be plenty more videos and photos to come!!!!!
