Our little girl.

An update on our little girl:
At Emma's 12 month appointment, the doc was a little leery of how small Miss Emma was. He asked us to come back at 13 months which snuck up on us and was this past weekend. We headed to the doctor yesterday and she gained 5 oz!!! Good as he would say but not great. Apparently kids at Emma's age are to gain 8 grams a day and she's gaining about 4.5. Again, good but not great. We're on the Pediasure road, yikes is that stuff expensive or what!?!!?!
If any moms out there have ideas of how to fatten up a little girl, let me know. She's not the biggest fan of noodles anymore, but I found out she's a rice lover. (maybe she's trying to offset the price of the Pediasure with loving rice)

And, finally a little photo shoot with her Packer's shirt on! Ready for the 2012-2013 season!

Showing off her teeth! This is her new smile, squint and all!

Emma, Emma, Emma :)

This is just going to be a crazy post of pictures :)

Someone loves climbing.... in baskets and on anything!
What a cool lady just sitting and reading.

She thinks the vacuum is for riding... modern day witch? NO!!! She's a princess!!
Smiling away!

For Christmas, Jay's mom made Emma a cute, pink tutu! I have forgotten to get pictures of her in it until today. Today wasn't the best picture day, but I CANNOT stop laughing at a lot of these pictures.
She has so much personality at 13 months!!!

YIKES!!!
Trying to sit her down. Lovin' the texture!

AHHH!!!

I asked her to sit still.... should have asked her to smile too!
Modeling.

Cutie!

Ballerina??

So much excitement...

... and energy!

The most decent one I could get.

What a princess!

Here's just a little snip of what Emma's like every morning at her new wake up time of 7am!

A NEW Van!!!

This last weekend has been a pretty busy one for us! After a few phone calls during the week and John, Jay's dad, driving up to St. Cloud to look at a van, we found THE ONE! Emma and I headed out early Friday afternoon to pick up Jay and head to Minnesota.
That evening my parents came over to Jay's parents house, and we all enjoyed an evening of pizza, Jell-o cake, and great company! Of course, I didn't get any pictures of Emma interacting with everyone, but here is a picture of the ladies!

Later that night, Emma got sick. So, plans changed, but everyone was so flexible! This is what Saturday morning looked like for the ladies. Lots of couch time.

Emma finally fell asleep after being up every hour the night before.
Someone was getting her energy back...

...and glad to be home!

I know what you've all been waiting for, the blog title!!!

Wait for it......

Here it comes!!!!
Our new van!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jay LOVES it!!!

I think Emma does too!

We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thankful to Jay's dad for all of his hard work to find us the perfect vehicle. There have been multiple times that Jay has said if he was going to find us a van, this is exactly what he would have picked out. And, there is no part or feature of the van that he doesn't like.

I can't thank you enough John for your hard work, hours, miles, phone calls, and patience you had with us in order to get this! Thank you!!!!

I would have taken a few more pictures of the van, but we got 2" of snow and it's a little covered at the moment. And, I got Emma's flu and have been a bum for the last 24 hours on the couch.

I'm so excited for the efficiency of the van and to add another little Udey to it!

Back to the Baby Toys....

Lately, I've had a few friends over who have a child younger than Emma. So... I dig out the baby toys for them, and Emma loves it! She's gotten stuck sitting in the Bumbo chair, trapped under a play mat, and confused with some other toys. I guess that's what happens when you grow up...

Can't I still take a bath in here?

After changing Emma's sheets this week, I decided to let her play on her mattress. My hope is that she will get used to the mattress being on the floor, and we won't have a lot of problems when she makes the switch to a big bed..... in a few months!!!!!
I think she's enjoying it so far!

I made potato soup this week! It was SOOOOOO good!

Ingredients
6 slices bacon, crumbled
8 medium potatoes, chopped
1/2 cup butter
1 cup onion, chopped
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup skim milk
3/4 cup flour
2 1/2 cup chicken broth
12 oz light sour cream
2 Tbsp parsley
1 Tsp basil
3 1/2 Tbsp seasoned salt
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Directions
1. Put the cut up potatoes in a bowl and microwave them for 8 minutes.
2. In a pot on the stove, melt butter. Cook onions & garlic in melted butter. Cook until a little brown. Add milk slowly, whisk in flour. Gradually whisk in chicken broth.
Simmer for 10 minutes or until soup thickens.
3. Stir in potatoes, crumbled bacon, sour cream, parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, parsley, & basil.
Mix together.
4. Pour into crock pot on low for 3-4 hours or until potatoes are as soft as you'd like!

Later dudes!

SNOW

Emma was prepping herself before the snow came by wearing daddy's Carhartt hat.

I'm ready for the snow!!!

I have been waiting for a decent amount of snow to bundle Emma up and take her out. So to say the least, I was soooo excited that we got a lot of snow last week. I do think that Jay and I may have had more fun taking her out than she had, but it's about the experience, right?

I wanted to see if she could walk in her snow pants; she can!

All bundled up and ready!

Looking at her daddy!

Someone's excited about the snow!!

Family pic!!

Emma loves getting kisses, even if you don't make it to her face and just make the noise!

Guess who Emma love? Auntie Cara!!!

Enjoying our pretzel snack time!

Baby #2 Update: Healthy and doing well according to the doctor.
He/she is the size of a lemon this week!
