Happy Birthday to the Twins!

.... well, our twins. Skyla and I joke that Bowen and Lily are twins since they were born 5 days apart.
Here they are about 3-5 days after Lily was born.

So, today we let them celebrate their birthdays together!

Dinner Experiment Gone.....

....... GREAT!
We made homemade taco pizza and it was delicious!
I highly recommend making it!

And, it can't post without some pictures of these 2 cuties.

Bright and early!

One day Emma fell asleep on the couch after attending a birthday party. I'm not sure if she was so tuckered out from all the fun, had a sugar crash from eating an entire ice cream cone, or a combo of both. But she looked so adorable.

I left to hang up some laundry and she had moved.

I'd say great birthday party! Happy Birthday Mason!

Super Great Travelers

I'm sure some mom will ask me at some point in a few years how traveling with 2 under 3 alone was and what I did to 'make it'. My biggest bit of advice if you travel alone with young ones is: try not to have any set arrival time. If you have it in your mind that this trip is suppose to take 4 hours and it takes more, you will start to feel a little irritated and rushed. For me, that shows when we have to make one more stop for the potty......
I was blessed with some wonderful little travelers when we went to MN a few weeks ago. But, we stopped multiple times at truck weigh ins and random interstate off ramps to go to the bathroom. And, we have at least one fun stop where we just burned energy. I found these pictures on my little camera and just wanted to be able to look back and remember how great it was traveling with these 2.

Hilarious.

Playing with the hand dryer. Kept her busy!

10 minutes after this stop, pure silence until we hit Des Moines. (about 1.5-2 hours)

Praise God for great travelers.

Lily is Walking!

2 weeks ago Lily took her first step. While at my parent's house in MN, she took quite a few in a row:

Now, she would rather get up and walk than crawl:

There's quite a bit of up and down action, but helps me remember when you fall, get back up!

Excited to be cruising around on her own!

Vacationing in MN P.2

Here's the second half of our week in MN.

My Aunt Shelba came over to visit and meet Lily!

Emma's new favorite outside activity: watering flowers.

Straight out of bed and right to Grandpa!

We waited until Grandpa's first day off to have doughnuts for breakfast with him! She was SOOO excited!

While Lily napped, we spent some time in Grandma's sewing/craft room. Emma found some Lion King stamps and was loving it!

Emma and Lily enjoying a visit from Great Grandma.

Getting closer and closer with Snickers.

Nina and the babies!

To Emma, this was the big event of vacation. We got to go down to the Fire Hall and see the fire trucks with Grandpa.

Here they go!

Driving.

They found some left over candy from the 4th of July parade!

These tires are huge!

Stopping for a drink before the walk/ride home.
I even got to explain what the fire trucks are really for as my dad had a fire call the night before we went to see them. Learning all the time.

Walking down Main Street.

Lily just cracks me up.

As you can see my mom and I were a little behind :)

Hanging up clothes; just like home.
This was a huge answer to prayers. Emma recently had/has a fear of dogs. But, Snickers got in a playful mood, and Emma just couldn't get enough of it!

Gorgeous.

Cuddling up with Abby.
One last morning with Snickers.
After a toasty week in MN, we are glad to be home back in our regular routine, but we are so thankful for our time away. Thanks everyone!
