Hopeful

This past weekend, Jay's parents came down to help out and to be here in hopes that
Baby #2 was born. Well..... I'm still pregnant. But, we had a great time!
We went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. If you have an expressive child, this is a great place to go. It's super noisy!!!

Emma loves pointing and directing people to do things with her hands.

Beauty.

I asked her to smile for the camera.

When we got home, Grandpa had a gift for Emma.

A WAGON!!!!!!!!
 This led to many......

 .....many.....

  .....many.....

.....wagon rides & smiles. I was thrilled when Emma wanted her baby to ride in the wagon with her. Hopefully she will want her little sister in there just as much!
Story time with Grandpa!
Massage time with Daddy!
Our first harvest! There were 3 grape tomatoes,
but Emma ate the first 2 too fast for them to get in the picture.
Pure joy.
Update from the doctor today on Baby #2: Same as last week. (If you don't like details, you may quit reading) Still dialiated to 3cm & at 50%. Nothing changed since last week, other than being sooooo much more ready to meet her. Hope to not make it to another appointment, but if so, we'll talk about possibly inducing. Pray with us that she comes naturally before the end of the week!

And, I'm hoping to make this sometime soon. Maybe it'll be my fun-before-she-comes-experiment!

1 Day Shy of 39 Weeks!

I'm crossing my fingers that this girl would like to come in the same time frame that Emma did. Early. Emma was 6 days early, so I'm hoping since this is our second, she'll come a little sooner! She's running out of time though!!! We are down to 8 days!
The doctor says I'm progressing at a great pace, and it could be any day.
We are beyond excited to meet her and are cherishing our last days as a family of 3. Soon enough, there will be pictures up of our family of 4.

Exploring the Science Center

Yeah for the Zoo/Science Center Pass! We used the Science Center part for the first time, and it was a blast. There was minimal chasing Emma, and she kept pretty busy with Mason! Here's the photo story of our morning!

A BOW!!!!!!

I got it to stay finally. 18 months and a week old but we got it!

Emma and Mason love seeing each other! Neither of them wanted to hop in the stroller, so I asked them to hold hands. The result:

Simply adorable.

Taking a break.
 Bubbles!

The ball wall!

Taking a seat in the stroller.

Enjoying time with my oldest while it's just the 2 of us still.

"Mom, come this way!"

"Wait, this way!"

Stopping to look at the snakes.

They were loving this fake animal in the grass.

Can she get any cuter?

Abby Came Down!!!!

My "not-so-little-sister, who-just-graduated-high-school" Abby came down for a few days. Oh, it was so wonderful to have her here! I took this picture, literally, 3 minutes after Abby walked in the door. Emma sure does warm up to SOME people very quickly.

Emma enjoyed time at the park with Abby.....

.....an 18-month-photoshoot.....

......and some pictures with prego momma.

If you are friends with Abby on Facebook, here are's the link to the photo album with the pictures: Abby's View Photography or you can check out her WEBSITE! http://abbyrosesview.webs.com/

Abby is an amazing photographer. She's never taken a class and has just picked up all her skill and technique a long the way.

Here's a few other pictures I snapped of Abby and Emma.

Dancin' partners!

Last, here's a few pictures of Emma and Daddy.

Besties?

My bestie, MaryBeth, from college came over this week with her precious daughter. I enjoy any amount of time I get with her. Both our girls happen to get a little dirty during lunch and had to go topless for a bit.

More Visitors!

You'd think our baby came with the visitors we've had and will have this week. We LOVE having everyone here while we have some energy left and are getting a decent amount of sleep! My parents came into town Monday afternoon and just left today. They helped out with a some yard work and some odds and ends of just getting ready for Baby #2!

My dad even conquered our underground bees!

A well deserved lunch!

Grandma Time!

Grandpa Time!
My good friend, Jess White, and her family came over. My parents and I enjoy this family more than we can say. I guess Emma enjoys them as much as we do! Jess is also pregnant and due in August!

Oh laughs with Auntie Cara!

Mom, I'm sooooo grown up.

"Hello."

Emma ready to head to a doctor's appointment with Mommy!

Last, tonight my amazing friend, Sarah, watched Emma for a few hours for us. Jay and I got to go out to dinner, come home and enjoy some peace and quiet, and then pick up our little princess. It was so wonderful to know she was in good hands and have some time to relax together before life gets a little more busy!
