Baby Shower for Little Udey #2

My amazing friend Michelle insisted that our little girl needed her own baby shower. I insisted it was a food only shower as we have TONS of clothes from Emma already! A few of the ladies did get us some diapers and wipes. I guess that is something you can never have enough of!
I snapped only a few pictures because I was enjoying myself the rest of the time.

Amazing pink punch!

Super yummy cupcakes!

This was one of the 100 degree days in DSM, so Michelle set up a sprinkler...

..... and pool for the kids!
I think they enjoyed it!
Juice boxes!!!

The beautiful host!
If you can't tell from the picture, Michelle is pregnant too! She will be welcoming Riley Madison into the world on September 14th! I can't wait for our girls to grow up together! I could type for quite a long time as to how thankful I am for this woman. Michelle, you are one of the sweetest women I know with such a huge heart. Thank you for making me and this little kicker inside me feel so special!

Eating her snack in private. I had to sneak a picture of her though.

A literal "cheesy" smile.

The Big Switch-eroo!

Last weekend, Cara came over and helped us switch bedrooms!
Here's all the before and after pictures.

Our old bedroom ----->  the girls' new bedroom
(This one is still a work in progress)

The crib will go next to the changing table. But, we figured we'd let Emma enjoy the space and continue to get used to her big girl bed before we put the crib back up!

Emma and our next sweet little girl also 'inherited' our lovely walk in closet. Emma is IN LOVE with it! It's like another whole room, especially to a person of Emma's size.    :)

This next switch would not have been possible without my wonderful friend Holly!

If you have an older house in this city, I feel like you've had to deal with the floor to ceiling mirror closet doors. I thought they were a little much for an adult bedroom and when I slept, I was basically staring at myself. Creepy. They made their exit from this room!!! If any of you watch a little daytime TV, I love the Nate Berkus show. I know weird, but he has great, easy, sometimes cheap ways to decorate your house. He ALWAYS says to shop your house. Just about everything in our new bedroom was from our house or I just made out of things from our house. Gotta love recycling things! Anyway, here's the new closet door! Emma's old curtain!!

Emma also has begun to wear some fun big girl jammies!

Emma woke up at 5:45am this day; this is her at 10:30 am. Totally passed out on the floor!

So, I picked her up and enjoyed some snuggle time.

I'll leave you with this beautiful smile!

Oranges!

We have recently found out Emma's new favorite fruit is oranges! She'd eat them all the time if I let her! I was going to take pictures of her, but I did up some dishes and turned around and there was only 1 slice left!

Emma also enjoyed her first outing in the rain. She didn't get too far out on the porch, but I think she enjoyed it.

Jay's parents went on vacation to Myrtle Beach recently and brought us back goodies! I love this pink shirt and had to wear it at least once before it was way to small for this growing lady!

Christmas in June!!?!?

This is the wonderful pool that Jennifer dropped off! Emma enjoyed it sooooo much with it being in the 90s this past weekend!

Taking a break.

Back at it!
Washing her car!

Perfect size slide!

Jay's parents sent down a package of goodies!!! Emma loved opening it! There was also some gifts for Jay and I. I'm in love with the new purse I get to strut around wearing!

Fun plates!

"Oh, Mom, look at this dress!!!"

She was saying, "OOOOOO" in this picture.

Shirts from Myrtle Beach!
Beach Towel!
New books!!!

She is now obsessed with these busy books! She's making Daddy read them before bed time and even wants to take them outside when we go in the back yard!

I asked her to smile for the camera to say thank you. How beautiful!

This morning, Emma decided to walk around with 2 travel sized Kleenex and pretend they were phones. I asked her who she was talking to and she said, "Papa."

If you'd like an idea for a yummy, refreshing summer salad, check out one we made last night!

Last, say hello to the fabric that will be the girls' curtains! It's all washed and ready to be sewn. I just need to get going on them!
