Building, Sewing, & Snapping

Building..... Lego ramps with friends!

Sewing.... new pillow covers!
Talk about a makeover for the pillows, and it only cost $2.99 total!

As I was sitting at my sewing machine, thank you again Darlynn for the amazing sewing machine, I just ran away with a thought. If I had more time, energy, and projects lined up, I would totally write a blog that was called: Snack Time by the Sewing Machine. It would be stories that my girls and I share while sewing and snacking..... Maybe in a few years.
Then, the next day it was storming out like crazy.... I was trying to explain to Emma what thunder was. (I found out, it's pretty difficult to explain thunder to a 2 year old) She just looked at me and said, "No mom hippos in the clouds." Hmm..... not sure where she got that from, but she is 100% convinced that if it thunders the hippos are being loud. So, if I had more time, energy, and straight thinking, I would totally write a blog called: Hippos in the Clouds. It would be stories of the imagination of my kids and the crazy things they can think of and say.
If only there was more time in the day :)

 Okay- back to the title-

Snapping.... pictures! I wanted to take a picture of Emma relaxing on the couch and then she just kept saying more pictures Mommy, more. So..... who would refuse the chance to photograph this beauty!

Wish I would have been a little zoomed out on this last picture, but either way, she is so beautiful.

Watch Out World.... Here Comes Lily!!!

Lily is on the move!!!
She started pulling herself yesterday and is all out crawling today!

Update on soccer:
We left with a better attitude. She didn't to super well, but she did kick the ball with me for a few minutes. Then, we left, because it was too cold for us! It was 34 with a feel like temp of 25! We'll see what week 3 holds!

Lego fun!

Last, here are some sweet pictures of them playing doctor together.

3 Years & Counting

3 Years
2 Kids
1 Amazing Man
= 1 Happy Woman

We have been married for 3 years! What?!?! Some days it feels like we got hitched; other days it feels like we've been married forever.
Maybe I'll use our anniversary posts to tell you all what we are interested in.

Jay has gotten into bicycling. He rides to his carpool regularly, goes to the store for me, returns things to our friends when they leave things at our house, and even takes Emma to church in the tag-a-long.
He loves cracking open a book and finishing it faster than I can seem to read a few chapters in mine. He found an amazing blog called Mr. Money Mustache and has been reading up on ways to use our money wisely and retire early.

I have been organizing and cleaning our house like a mad woman. I read a book on organizing recently and am putting some of it into action. I enjoy learning more and more about my camera. I hope to take a class sometime this spring/summer to have more of a hands on learning. I love updating our blog and selling things on Craigslist. I know nerdy.

Here are the pictures that sum up our anniversary night:

Relaxed by the fire.

Enjoyed Chipotle, which was hand delivered by my handsome husband on his bicycle.
He continues to win me over, and over, and over again :)

3 Years & Counting!
Here's to many more years being married to the most amazing man out there!

Some Firsts Mixed with Some Treats

This past week, we have been BUSY.
Tuesday, we had the treat of having Kayla, Emerson, and Oakley Poucher over for 9 hours! Yes, 9 hours! From 9-6, we were graced with their much needed presence.  TREAT!

Wednesday, we saw the Poucher clan out at Michelle's house. So, Emma was able to play with the boys again and Mason! What a treat!

Thursday, we played outside!!! It was so wonderful to be outdoors! We have missed warm weather and hope it sticks around! TREAT!

Friday, we hit up our first garage sales of the season with Skyla and Bowen. It didn't go over super well, but it was still exciting! Jay came home a little early, and we were able to get groceries and go to an event for church that night. FIRST!

Saturday, Emma had her first soccer practice. She was excited the entire time before and after soccer, but not during. There were some smiles here and there and of course those are the pictures you'll see. :) There were definitely many challenging moments, but I think we'll all walk away learning something from this soccer club. We had many different reasons that we decided to put Emma in this soccer club and one was to work on taking direction from an adult, other than the usual adults she interacts with. We'll see how this week goes! FIRST!

Miss Attitude

Luke & Tom, Mason & Michelle, Emma & I! The crew!

A few 'up-highs' at the end.

Saturday, (yep, still on Saturday) Abby came to visit for the afternoon! We went to the library and hung out. It was great to see and hang out with Abby. We haven't seen her since September! WAY TOO LONG!!!! TREAT!

We'll miss you Abby.

Saturday, (okay, last Sat. event) Emma and Jay rode to church on a bike! Well, Jay did the work while Emma enjoyed the ride. I have a feeling this won't be the last time they do this! FIRST!

Getting ready.
So excited!
They made it!
Sunday, we made homemade breakfast pizza! The bread machine made the dough and 30 minutes later, we had delicious pizza. I think our bread machine was one of the best investments we've made in a long time. FIRST!

Sunday, (another one!) Jay's parents came down! We enjoyed hanging out with them, looking through a ton of new clothes that the girls got from them, and Jay and I even got to 'sneak' away for 45 minutes. It was a pretty great Sams Club run :)  TREAT!

Makeup time.

Doctor time.
Playing with her new crayons.

Loving Grandpa.
Sunday/Monday, Emma got the flu. We are blessed that this is the first time she has gotten it, but it still doesn't make it easy. She does look pretty precious when she's asleep though. :) She's getting better. She has now kept down some applesauce and banana. But, we are taking it easy. Enjoying A LOT of movie and pacifier time today. Hoping this week is a bit slower and healthier. FIRST!

Her spot for an all-day movie day.
For a girl who never naps, she passed out for 2 hours.
On the road to recovery.
I'll leave you with a smile from Lily.

Easter Egg Hunt

Emma had a little Easter egg hunt on Sunday!

She had found 2 and needed to stop eat 1 of them.

Admiring her stash.

It was relatively cold out, so we topped off the hunt with some hot cocoa!
